Look up sub repairs on web there are alot of places that sell replacement cone kits for most major brands kicker, rockford fosgate, Orion, JL they include all adhesives and stuff to make repairs.

JL I would not just say JL i have been a car audio specialist for 6 years now and it all depends on what you are looking for i would rank my top 3 at MTX, Kicker and then JL. to the specialist where does quantum audio cozmic series fall on your list? If you want a specific, the JL W7 in any size would do the trick. Also the TW5, if you have a small trunk or any situation.

myself i would go with JL alot of my friends have alpine my one friend has a w3 13.5 and it hit harder than my old 15" rockford fosgate P3 it also depends on what sub you go with the JL w7 is like one of the best subs out their and alpine dosent really make one that compeats i would go with JL myself

The solo x is a bad subwoofer it can handle a lot of wattage and will break windows. JLs is a good sounding sub but probably cant handle as much wattage as the solo x
