Use WD-40 or Deep Creep from Seafoam and spray in the tube where the gas pedal cord goes in. Do it from both sides: from inside the car and from the engine compartment.

Sounds like you didnt fix it to me. But on the clutch pedal, if you see where it's connected up and in near the firewall (inside) it has a bolt that MIGHT be loose. Check it.
