First make sure that the fuses are all OK. Then check the window relays. Then check to see if the other windows move up-down. If they do then the problem is with that window only.
It could be the motor is jammed. A jammed motor can somtimes be enticed to work by holding the window switch in the up mode while slamming the door. It could be the control switch is dirty. It could be that you have to take the door panel off and check to see what is binding the lift mechanism. Many such motors have a thermal cutout when they can't close the window they tend to overheat and then disconnect - cutout. It may be that it is opened.
If the car is older there is more dirt accumulated at the control switches. You may have to take that apart or off and buy some CONTACT cleaner or tuner cleaner from Radio Shack or somewhere and spray INTO the switches while moving the switches.
It is also possible that one of the control wires fell off - highly unlikely but possible.
I would go to the library and borrow a book on how to remove the door panel.
if its not the motor At Fault then its probably a fault in the mechanism. in mine one of the cable strands snapped causing it to jam. the only solution was to sever the cable. drastic but effective.
get it replaced the part cost around $35.00 but to install it is another question.
We had to go to the dealer who said we wouldn't be able to it ourselves. It cost £30.00 including labour
Replace the window regulator
Hold down the child lock when you press the button to raise the window.
You can try replacing the master control switch on the driver's door. If that doesn't fix it you will need a new window motor.
If its an automatic window, then the motors may be about shot. If its a manual window, have the tracking checked, it may be slipping off track.
If its not working check the connections and if it is working but wont go up and down then the window regulator is broken and will need to be replaced.
There was a recall on window clips. Go to your dealer and they should fix it for free.
If an electric window in a Chevrolet Venture will not go up or down, it is likely that a fuse is blown. Replacing the fuse could fix the issue.
go to the scrap yard and get a new one.
driver window wont go up
After you fix the truck, go to the left. Greg is in the house, but you can rouse him from the games by opening the window blinds. If you go outside, you will see Manny driving the snowplow truck! Follow him and go into the laundromat.
You'll probably need to buy a new power window motor, if it's power window, that is.
