How do you fix minecraft black screen if you don't have a minecraft folder just the icon that leads you to the game?

There is a minecraft folder, but it is hidden in your hard drive. (That pesky file).
Open your start menu on your computer
- Search %appdata%
- Open the .minecraft folder that appears
- Open the bin folder
- Delete the minecraft.jar file
Open Minecraft again. It should be fixed.
