There is no reset. You have to fix the problem.
go to remote car start shop,they fix you up.
probably your keys anti theft chip is short circiuted try another key
get it looked at by the person who installed it and if they can not fix have them remove it.....then go see a real electronic tech. watch out anti theft that are after market will void your warrantee......

take it to a Chevy dealer they will look up your password and help you turn off the loc
Provided that you have the anti theft code on hand, leave the radio on for one hour after exactly one hour you will hear a beep and the radio display screen will no longer read "error e" it will display "code" and that is when you enter the five digit anti theft code using the preset bottons.
i had a 96 that had the same problem. i would rub a pencil eraser on the computer chip on the key and it would help 90% of the time.
My system has locked up as well, after repairs. If you have code, you can disconnect battery to reset entry screen. If you don't have code you have to go to dealer. Local dealer said there is two different radios in that year. They can fix one for free but the other has to be connected to a machine. But they can disarm it.
mine is doing the same thing. you have to take it to the dealer ship. they told me it would cost about $300.00 to run test and to fix everything.
The key has a chip in it that is part of the anti theft system. You will need to have your truck scanned and added to any replacement keys. I found that out the hardway:)
Try unhooking the pos =neg battery cables and letting it sit for a little bit, then try again.
