Last time I ran into this problem, the wires attached to the brake light switch connector on the brake pedal were broken (the insulation looked good but when wiggled there was an obvious fault). I spliced the wires back together and the brake lamps worked!
Hope this helps,

The park lamps fuse is blown
There is not a separate tg light fuse. It feeds off of the same circuit that powers the park lamps. Also there is not one particular fuse since the lights are controlled by a computer module called a lighting control module. The three fuses that power the LCM are fuses F2-21, F2-23, F2-27.
There is a short in the wiring or in the bulb. Try changing the bulbs first.
Check fuses
Blade Type ATO/ATC Automotive Fuses: 10A for the turn signal lamps & 15A for the Brake/Hazard Lamps. Hope that helps.
Check, Fuses, Bulbs, Switch,
the brake lamps, smart one the brake lamps, smart one
In the trunk, you will have to pull back the liner from the back of the trunk. Underneath there you will find about 5 large plastic wing nuts. Remove these, and then pull the lens assembly out away from the car. You will then be able to get to the bulbs.
Did you change the head lamps bulb.Try that and see if that help's.
the 1973 f body fuses are separate for park lamps and dash lamps, so it must be in the light switch itself.
troubleshoot head lamps on 1988 grand marquis? Not working...fuses OK
I would check switch. My 92 would only come on when working the knob. I went to the junck yord and pulled one. Now it`s ok.
