How do you fix the cruise control that just stopped working 2002?

Absolutely the first thing that should be suspected is a blown fuse or relay. Check the owners manual for their location. Also check for a disconnected wiring connection and/or a possible short circuit (worn wire) where the wires pass from the steering wheel into the steering column.
