The spring that assists the window to the up position is very strong and do not attempt to remove the old motor with the window in the down position. Your fingers wil thank you. -Inspect the power window switches for broken or loose wires. -Check the power window fuse or circuit breaker. -Remove door panels and check power window motor wires to see if they are loose or damaged. Inspect the glass mechanism for damage which can cause binding. -If it's only one window not working and all the above checks out ok then you may have to replace the window motor.

In California, all windows can be covered except the Front Windshield, Drivers Window, & Front Passenger Window, and you have the proper left and right side view mirrors.

Fuse 56 - front windows. Fuse 57 - rear windows. Located on the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.
Your power windows on the 02 Explorer are all on the same fuse to the best of my knowledge. You should check the plug into the main window button console in your drivers door. The little piece of plastic around the door handle pops out when pushed towards the front of the vehicle. This gives you access to the buttons and harnesses. Hope that helps.

How do you replace a power window motor ( rear passenger side ) in a 2002 Ford Explorer
Run another dedicated hot wire to the drivers window switch. This will provide power to that window no matter if the driver cuts the power or not.
Depends on the location of the window and the laws in your location. Usually the front drivers and passenger window must remain, but the back windows could be closed up with sheet metal, fiberglass, Plexiglas, or any number of suitable materials.
Each window is by itself. The rear pass. and front drivers would have nothing to do with the front pass. window. Manual or power it wouldn't make any difference.
The Honda Civic has a separate fuse for the front windows and the back windows. Each window does not have a separate fuse. There are two window fuses.

I had a similar problem with a Toyota Corolla. Could be worth a shot There may be a window lock button (usually near the drivers electric window controls). That causes the controls from all, except the driver's, to be unresponsive.

Yes, you can get pulled over in California for window tint, but only for your two front windows. The legal limit for your two front windows is 70%. You can go as dark as you want on your back windows without being pulled over.
