The bottom part of the panel still has light, but the top where the audio, CB, I-com etc buttons are, this area has lost its light
Check dimmer switch.
check for a bad fuse in the fuse panel.
your instrument panel lights can be dimmed(thumb wheel switch) down to practically no lights at all on your instrument cluster, this switch should be located most likely on the dash, left hand side of steering column. If this does not fix the problem ,then you have to check your fuse panel to see if you have a burnt out fuse.
Computer/control panel/devices/hardware & sound/manage sound. Strt there & look for error codes.
i replaced the panel above rearview that has the roof switches and inside lights. it snapped out n snapped in! got the panel from a u pull it junkyard 12.00$
Your first place to look would be the fuse panel. If everything there is ok, you'll probably have to remove the gauge panel and check the bulbs there.
i have dash light problems also and my easy fix is just hitting the dash . the lights all work again after i do!
Its your dimmer wheel. Smack it a few times and the instrument panel will light back up. To fix it permanently, remove the switch and either replace it or solder the contacts back in place.
Thr panels can not be repaired It needs a tailight PPPSSttt...There may be a recall for this coming in the near future
Yes go to autozone they can provide the correct bulbs.. They are a little tricky to take out you have to disassemble the dash..
take battery cable off its a tempary fix but you have something behind the instrument panel blown
They can't be fixed. You have to change the radio. The climate control is the same way, You have to change the unit to get the light working.
