I'm expirencing the same problem on my 1997 gmc jimmy. I've opted to remove the seat and take a closer look, theres just not anyway to see the problem clearly looking at it upside down and sideways. Mine will move on the right side but seems to be stuck on the left side,so when i try to move the seat forwrd or backwards all i do is go sideways. so my guess would be to remove the seat( and im hoping this isn't an all day project) and see what i can do with it.
It'd probably be easier to move the tracks forward completely. Or mount the seat with a forward offset.

Jimmy was a drug dealer and he taught Jesus how to live in the city, and how to have fun and girls. St. Jimmy killed himself in the twelfth track by shooting himself. It was a metaphorical suicide, it was a part of Jesus that died when he met a girl that he loved.
