Check fuses in box under dash on left of steering column
That's the "Daytime Running Lights". Typically, the car runs the headlights at low power anytime you've shifted out of park. There are people who love them, and others who hate them.
It's in park or netural. It has no fluid in it. the engine is off. the linkage is disconnected.
Engine idling in park.
For most newer vehicles this is normal. It puts unnecessary wear on an engine to rev it high in park/neutral.
Yes, but only in Arkansas
The lights come on when you start the car. They will not come on if you have the park brake on. Once you release the park brake they will come on immediately.
You have a pressure switch behind the brake pedal. It is either broke, out of adjustment, or disconnected. if it doesn't work you won't have brake lights and you won't get out of park (safety feature).
possably the switch at the brake? do your brake lights work??
check if the light bulbs are dead ???? By park lights do you mean the running lights or fog lights below the headlights? If so im having the same problem with my 99 SE ... message me if you found a solution. Thanks, bainez
If parking lights stay on after the car is turned off on a 2001 Hyundai Elantra than the brake switch is malfunctioning. The brake switch turns off when pressed in and if it does not work the lights of the vehicle will stay on.
Tap the key. I used a rubber covered screwdriver handle.
It only allows starting in park and neutral and it turns on the reverse lights.
