- Open Control Panel
- Double Click on Add/Remove Programs
- Find Microsoft Office and click on the Change button
- You may have to check the box that says Choose advanced customization of applications if you did a custom installation of Office
- Browse to Office Shared Features, Alternative User Input, and then select for Speech and Handwriting recognition (both) and make them Not Available from the drop-down box and click on Update.
