Not sure this is on a 94 topaz, they all have drum brakes in the back unless it's been modified. So therefore you might need a new calliper or a wheel cylinder.
need diagram of rear brake lines for 1993 mercury topaz
To replace the rear brakes on a 1993 Mercury Topaz, start by safely lifting the vehicle and removing the rear wheels. Next, remove the brake caliper by unbolting it from the bracket, then slide it off the brake rotor. Replace the brake pads, ensuring to compress the caliper piston if you're installing thicker pads, then reassemble the caliper and reinstall the wheels. Finally, pump the brake pedal to ensure proper brake function before driving.
Compressing the rear brake caliper piston on a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country requires a special tool that pushes in and turns the piston at the same time.

How do you get the brake piston to retreat back in caliper ?
To collapse the rear brake piston on a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, first, remove the wheel and brake caliper. Use a brake caliper tool or a C-clamp to gently push the piston back into the caliper housing. Make sure to also turn the piston clockwise while applying pressure, as the rear pistons typically have a screw-type mechanism. Finally, check the brake fluid reservoir and ensure it has enough space for the fluid that will rise as the piston is retracted.
If the brakes are disk on the rear they can't be push or pressed in they have to be screwed in by turning the piston clock wise try this it should work. That is what I did on my 1994 Nissan Maxima becareful not to damage the rubber dust boot on the piston.
