Well, assuming it has the same 3.1 V6 as mine, and the spring is ejecting the unit outward in danger of losing the belt, I wasn't about to pay a $500 towing bill to get her home, so I took the pry bar from the jack that comes with the vehicle, and an 8" section of 1" diameter radiator hose and pryed the tensioner spring back into its normal position, then jammed the hose between the tensioner and the inside of the engine compartment. Had to make a few adjustments, but it made it several hours on the freeway and got me home. cry because its probaly lower intake manifold leaking which is 500-700 to fix
If you just asking how much a new one is I just replaced one on my 1995 Corsica and it cost a little over $70. That was just the price of a new one I did the work myself.
Fixing the rocker panels on a 1995 Chevy Corsica will not compromise the frame. Fixing this will help the vehicle last longer as far as rust goes.
WD-40
You need to have it checked for codes. If you fix the cause of the codes the light will stay off.
go to autozone or other auto supply store and ask for a "flasher" for your year make and model. i just hate this problem on my 94 corsica.

GM tensioners are spring loaded to provide the correct tension on the serpentine belt. If the belt is loose, either the tensioner is bad or you're using the wrong belt.
Does it have a miss? check plugs and wires. Also a possibility of a bad throttle position sensor.
You have to find the leak in order to know what to fix. I would suspect you have a leaking radiator, but that is a guess based on your description.
Need more info, need to know what the problem is.
Start by checking the fuse in the fuse panel. Also make sure the dimmer switch is not turned off.
