First, try moving the wipers back and forth. If they don't move, the linkage is good. If they do move, then a piece of linkage may have come disconnected or broke. In my experience, most times the wiper motor goes bad. You can hot wire that to the battery to check for operation. Or the last thing or two could be a bad relay or multifunction switch, but I'd be willing to bet the motor crapped.
It is ananti-theft deterrent If you removed the radio itself and then reinstalled it you would get the same results. The owner's manual gives guidance!
