Had the same problem on another truck and it was the ground connection being lost. Ran a wire from the chasse to the lights and they worked fine.
Forgot to mention that I've replaced the bulbs and checked the fuses, but it still won't work.
S10 Tail light Question...I have the same ptroblem with a '03 S10. How do you fix the Left Rear tail light and Left License plate marker lamp?I checked the Buls and the fuses==> No issues.I checked the Rear harness too. No issues there. The Left License plate marker and Tail (marker) lamp on on the same circuit. I have voltage at the rear harness connector on this left rear TL pin. When a load is applied there is no voltage==> can't source voltage.
Any ideas??
I'm thinking that one or more contact points in the thing that holds the bulb has either been burnt, or rusted out, or rotten. Maybe a new tail light assembly for the bulb that isn't working may fix the problem. Happened on my dads 2000 chevy. Water likes to make it's way into the light holder things. Tail light compartment thing. I dunno what's they are called. other then just tail light meh. I'm sry yabber yabber :)
check your grounds at the tail light they go to chrome plastic light itself.
yes, its in the trunk on the left side near the left tail light
YES. It was the 1957 chevy and it was behind the drivers side tail light. Also the 1956.
Yes with a lil bit of tinkering. They are a near direct swap.
If you open the tail gate and look where the tail gate and side of bed go together where the light is mounted you will see 2 screws take them out and the light will come off then unhook bulbs and remove.
Remove tail light housing. Remove lamp. Replace lamp. Replace tail light housing.
No, there are no clips that have to be removed to take the tail light lens off. There should be 2 torque head screws or phillip head screws, and simply remove them.
No.... You need to change the whole back tail piece
Chevy Dealer.
Change the turn signal switch in the steering column, or the turn signal relay.
the fuse box is on the left side of the dash you can see it only when the driver side door is open.
