first let me ask if you mean like the bars going across from one shoe lace hole to the other? if so then it is simple.
1. tie a knot on one side of the shoelace
2. put the shoe lace in the shoe
3. take the end that is not tied and pull it through one of the first holes by the toes in the shoe
4.then you take the shoelace and take it to the opposite side shoe lace hole and put it through
5. in side the shoe take it across the shoe to the hole above the original hole where you put it through and pull it out
6. you should see a bar
7. continue until you can not move on
8. at the top tie an knot on the shoe lace on the inside or out side where ever it ends up
9. if it doesn't end up the way you want it then just be cretive that's how i learn most things i do with my shoes
Flat lacing a shoe starts out as you might think. At the bottom two eyelets put the lace ends in downwards. From there you alternate eyelets to achieve the flat lace. Its hard to explain but very easy to do. You basically do a flat bridge from one eyelet to the adjacent eyelet on the other side of the tongue. Alternate from right to left going under the last bridge with either right or left side shoelace. So if you make the bridge at the two adjacent eyelets at the bottom, take the right side shoe lace and come up through the very next eyelet on the same side. Then bridge the right side lace to the left hand side. Do the same with the left but come up through the second eyelet and bridge across to the right side. The effect when you are done will be a train track style job. There should never be any x's or crosses in the lace.
