Two screws on either side of the windshield, ( the lower ones on the bracket ) and two more on each roll bar extension where it connects to the windshield, but you will also need to remove the back screws as well to completely remove the roll bar extension.
It's just a way to eat bugs if you ask me, but suit yourself, be sure to use the tie downs ( if you still have them ) to keep the windshield from bouncing on the hood.
they are STILL making them with fold down windshields...
You have to unbolt the winshield from the roll cage, then fold down the windshield. Most models are similar but some do varry. Owners manual is detailed.
You need to fold down the windshield. So undo the torque head screws on each side & fold forward carefully. The wiper motor sits right under the VIN plate on the windshield.
The wiper motor is mounted on the left inside of the windshield frame on the same bracket as the VIN. Fold down the windshield and is fully accessible.
just dont do it. its not difficult, but it is frustating and time consuming, and unless you are in the Congo, it is pointless.
Yes, you can fold it down, but you have to remove some large screws firt, not hard though
Under the vin plate. fold the windshield forward.
The wiper motor is on the driver's side, behind the dash board. if you fold you front windshield down, that will expose your wiper motor.
It's under the windshield. You'll have to unbolt the two roll bars that connect to it and then the two brackets on each side of the dash board. Carefully fold the windshield down on the hood and the motor will be on the driver side.
Remove the bottom bolt on each side of the windshield (near the hinge) and make sure to take the wipers off. It folds right down, really easy, Remove the bottom bolt on each side of the windshield (near the hinge) and make sure to take the wipers off. It folds right down, really easy,
You get to drop you windshield...the wiper motor is under it. Unbolt the rollbars at the top of the windshield, then unbolt both brackets on each side of the dash. Carefully fold the windshield down on the hood. Then you'll see your wiper motor. I just did this yesterday on my 95 YJ. Try putting some PB Blaster/WD40 on all the bolts and letting it soak in. I had to make a trip to Fastenal for a few replacements.
