This is a long process (at best 3 to 5 hours of play). There are no shortcuts.

you can hire a cargo master who increases your cargo storage for 15 000 doubloons & a shipwright who fixes your ship without having to go to port for 20 000 doubloons and a cannon-er to reload your cannons twice as fast for 30 000 doubloons
You have to get a lot of doubloons to get the Phonix Warbird by beating other ships so you can get a lot of doubloons from them. When you have about 500,000 you can loan another 500,000 from the bank and buy the phonix Warbird and to beat him fast you chase him around skullduggery island and then when your on the side and captain crawfish is on the other and you are anchored then you have to shoot him repeatedly so you can beat him.
well you need to beat other ships to gain not only doubloons but cargo as well. this might depend on your ship if you have the first ship then it might be hard to beat other ships but you know, you can trade cargo for money and you can roam the seas for cargo and money to sell, sorry but i have not found any cheat for this island yet!
You buy your first ship at Dragon Cove when you have 3000 doubloons from salvage and trading. As you accumulate more wealth, buy larger ships and hire the skilled crewmen. In order to beat Captain Crawfish, you need the Phoenix warbird and two skilled crew: the cannoneer (to fire fast enough) and the shipwright (to repair your ship). You actually only need 500,000 doubloons to get the Warbird because the Golden Harbor Bank will loan you the other 500,000 and you really don't ever have to pay it back because you win the island. Earning doubloons involves salvage and trading among the five islands. Once you buy larger ships, you can collect and earn more, especially through the risky business of sinking sea monsters and pirates for their salvage. By the time you have your third ship (usually the Carabelle), you can afford to hire skilled crewmen, who improve the performance of any ship you have. The skilled crewpersons (you pay them a salary only once) :Shipwright (Ship-Shape at Dragon Cove) : 20,000 doubloons to hire -- slowly fixes damage without dockingCargo Master (Willard's Warehouse at Bouffant Bay) : 15,000 doubloons -- increases cargo space of any ship by 50%Navigator (Petey's Pub at Parrot Port) : 12,000 doubloons -- increases ship speedCannoneer (Cannonry atop the Pirate Outpost) : 20,000 doubloons -- increases firing rate of your cannon*You should almost always buy a larger ship when you can afford it. You can skip one or two if you are already earning doubloons at a fast rate. Larger ships are faster, stronger, hold more cargo, and have more cannons.
get a good job
That depends on how fast you can count.
Sea Monsters and PiratesSinking a sea monster or pirate with your cannon is a good way to get a LOT of doubloons, but it is risky unless you are very good at it. You will lose some of your doubloons if you are sunk. Generally, the sea creatures attack at the left of and above Dragon Cove. So once you have 2 or more cannon, you can hunt them there. Note that smaller ships will fill the cargo completely with just one creature. Beware of multiple attacks by creatures and ships.---You normally earn doubloons on Skullduggery Island in two ways. The first is by "salvage" when you come across random floating items in the sea. These are more numerous around sunken ships. Collecting them, however, is not without peril because sea monsters and pirate ships are more likely to attack the longer you spend away from an island. (see above for sinking sea creatures)The second, which is ultimately more important, is by trading among the islands. You buy one of the four types of cargo with your doubloons, then carry them to another island to sell at a higher price. With larger ships, the amount of profit gets substantially larger. You can borrow money from the Golden Harbor Bank, but only an amount equal to your current worth, and it must be paid back with interest.(The only action taken to enforce its repayment is that an overdue loan prevents you from buying a larger ship.)The Circular Trading RouteTravel clockwise around the islands. Except for Parrot Port, one kind of cargo is always cheaper in a port. (The profit on goods from Parrot Port is comparatively small.)Silk is bought cheaply at Dragon Cove (upper left), and sold at nearly double your cost at Bouffant Bay to the right.Medicine is bought cheaply at Bouffant Bay (upper middle) and sold at Parrot Port to the south. There is nothing very cheap at Parrot Port.Grain is bought cheaply at Golden Harbor (lower right) and sold at Pirate Outpost to the left.Spices are bought cheaply at Pirate Outpost (lower left) and sold at Dragon Cove to the far north.
