Sea Monsters and Pirates
Sinking a sea monster or pirate with your cannon is a good way to get a LOT of doubloons, but it is risky unless you are very good at it. You will lose some of your doubloons if you are sunk. Generally, the sea creatures attack at the left of and above Dragon Cove. So once you have 2 or more cannon, you can hunt them there. Note that smaller ships will fill the cargo completely with just one creature. Beware of multiple attacks by creatures and ships.

You normally earn doubloons on Skullduggery Island in two ways.
The first is by "salvage" when you come across random floating items in the sea. These are more numerous around sunken ships. Collecting them, however, is not without peril because sea monsters and pirate ships are more likely to attack the longer you spend away from an island. (see above for sinking sea creatures)
The second, which is ultimately more important, is by trading among the islands. You buy one of the four types of cargo with your doubloons, then carry them to another island to sell at a higher price. With larger ships, the amount of profit gets substantially larger. You can borrow money from the Golden Harbor Bank, but only an amount equal to your current worth, and it must be paid back with interest.
(The only action taken to enforce its repayment is that an overdue loan prevents you from buying a larger ship.)
The Circular Trading Route
Travel clockwise around the islands. Except for Parrot Port, one kind of cargo is always cheaper in a port. (The profit on goods from Parrot Port is comparatively small.)
Earn 500,000 doubloons then get a loan at Golden Harbor at the bank .Or you can as many as Grains as you can then sell it at Pirate Outpost until you get 1,000,000 doubloons.
sell and trade with other islands (on one island what ever is cheaper on one island is worth more than the next ).
You get a larger ship by having a lot of doubloons and then go to dragon cove and buy and new ship. Hint the cheapest ship is 3000 doubloons and the most expensive is more than 30000 doubloons.
You can get doubloons by trading, but the price changes very little at one island. The most profit comes from buying cheaply and selling for more somewhere else.
yes you have to keep selling cargo and trashing boats the boats get you more cargo and for more go to YouTube type in poptropica how to get doubloons they have alot of videos thank me when you see it
you dock at the closest island and look for the trading area and click on the person there then theyll say lets trade and there u go
I have defeated a sea monster, but there is more than one, so it depends which one you are defeating.
You can get more doubloons on skullduggery by finding random pieces of cargo around the sea or by selling your items (Grain, spices, silk and medicine) another way to get money is to get a loan from the loan officer on the golden harbor good luck .
search this on youtube;GET MILLIONS OF DOUBLOONS IN POPTROPICANA ! REALREALREALThen watch.
He has a Phoenix Warbird. You can buy one just like it to battle him, but it costs 1,000,000 doubloons. Start by buying a small ship and work your way up, because you can earn more doubloons with a larger ship.
Boats are sold at the Ship Shape shipbuilders at Dragon Cove. Once you have 3000 doubloons, you can get the Jimmy Rigger to replace your raft. As you get more doubloons, you can buy larger ships, that are faster, stronger, and have more cannon. (You actually only need to salvage 1500 doubloons, as you can borrow 1500 more from the Golden Harbor Bank. Be sure to repay the loan, with interest, so that you can get larger ships.)
When you have raised 3000 doubloons by salvage or trading, you can buy your first real ship, the Jimmy Rigger. As you get more and more cargo space, and can take more salvage, the salaries do not seem as high. The Navigator (in the Pub) has the lowest one, at 12,000 doubloons. The Navigator, however, is not a guy.
