Put cooking oil and sugar and use it as a scrubber and then take a bath and it works like magic

Also if before you use this oil/sugar scrub take vinegar and baking soda add to a bowl and soak your hands in it. Yes this will fizz but it works wonders as a pre-rinse

Or you could just..

Use Windex spray it on your hands and it's off!!!

Why does Easter egg dye come off?

Most Easter egg dyes are water based, and so will re-dissolve in water if given the chance. If the egg becomes moist (even if held in a damp hand), the dye will come off. In the case of eggs meant to be eaten, this is not a very big deal. In the case of eggs made to be saved, like pysanky, this can be a problem. That is why most pysanka artists coat their finished eggs with a protective varnish.

What was Easter like in the 1940s?

The best. Easter morning we woke up to find our Easter baskets full of candy to the top. We would dress up in our new Easter clothes, dress, hat, purse.shoes and gloves. Off to Easter Sunday Mass, Home for lunch with a big Easter Family dinner and then outside for an Easter Egg hunt. Such fond memories.

What is wax resist?

The basic underlying technique used in creating pysanky is wax-resist. Pure beeswax is applied to the eggshell, to which it adheres firmly. The egg is then placed in cold-water dye, and the eggshell absorbs the dye everywhere except the areas with wax on them. The egg is placed in a series of dye baths, beginning with light colors and ending with dark, and more wax is applied after each dyebath. When the wax is removed at the end of the process, the multi-colored design is revealed.Pysanka artists usually begin by applying wax to a plain, white eggshell. Every spot to which wax is applied at this point will stay white throughout the entire dyeing process. The wax acts as a barrier or shield, protecting the shell underneath from the dye. After the first dye bath (usually yellow), the artist applies more wax onto the egg, protecting the first color of the egg, before placing the egg into a second color of dye. The parts of the egg that had wax applied to them when the egg was white will stay white. The parts of the egg that had wax applied to them when the egg was yellow will stay yellow. The rest of the eggshell will change to the new dye color. If the wax is melted off at this point, the final dye is the background color, and the design is in white and yellow.

How do you remove tye dye from your kids hands?

Try a bit of oil, like salad oil. Tho really, it should come off after a few days as the children wash their hands with soap, and also take baths. Hopefully the tie dye was non-toxic, and they will get a kick out of having multi-coloured hands. As the skin on our bodies sloughs off naturally, it will take care of itself in a few days.Four words! - Mr. Clean Magic eraser... works really well!

Does the US celebrate Easter?

There are a couple of reasons that I know of. For starters, people usually get plastic baskets, fill it up with fake plastic grass, and put candy, toys, and especially Easter eggs in them. To top an Easter gift basket off, don't forget to always put a chocolate Bunny Rabbit in it. Also what a great tradition for Easter is an Easter Egg Hunt. Simply by hiding eggs (real or plastic) around the house, lawn, etc... and asking others such as children to find them! Also, painting real eggs with fun and playful colors, as well as making eggnog, is a great way to top off an Easter Sunday! also, you culd pretend there is a Easter bunny...

How do you clean Easter egg dye off of your kitchen table?

It is best to avoid this problem by not getting the dye onto your kitchen table in the first place. When dyeing eggs, cover the work area with newspapers or a plastic tablecloth. If you do get dye onto the table, there are several ways to get it off. The simplest is to use some dish soap and a damp sponge or cloth, and just wash it off. This will often be all you need. If the stain is a bit more stubborn, a cleanser like Soft Scrub works really well. Get the kind without bleach. Test a small inconspicuous area first. If that is successful then you should have no trouble getting it off your table. Be gentle, don't scrub too hard or you will scratch the table. In the worst case, you may need to use bleach. Bleach does not wash the dye off, it breaks the molecule up in such a way that it no longer reflects color. Bleach always works to remove egg dyes, but may damage the table. As before, test it in an inconspicuous area to make sure it can be used safely. WOoden tables may be stained permanently, as the dye can get into the grain of the wood. Plastic or laminate surfaces usually clean up quit easily.
