No, Parvati lives. Her friend Lavender died, though.
Shefali Choudhury. She played the role of Parvati Patil.
Padma and Parvati Patil, they are twins.
Well their names suggest they come from an Indian origin however they could have be born in the UK like the actors who played them were.
Harry Potter went with fellow Gryffindor student Parvati Patil to the Yule Ball in 1994 (during the time of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. However, Harry didn't want to go with Parvati; he wanted to go to the Yule Ball with his crush, Cho Chang, but she was going with Cedric Diggory.
Sorry originally I posted an answer that I thought was true but I learned I was wrong after some research. Parvati's fate is unknown.
Harry originally wanted to take Cho Chang, but she had already made plans to go with Cedric Diggory. So Harry ended up taking Parvati Patil, and his friend, Ron, took Parvati's sister, Padma Patil.
I believe Cho Chang is the only one mentioned by name. Parvati and Padma Patil look so by their name. The Patil twins are South Asian (possibly Indian).
Lavender was always white. Perhaps you are thinking of her friend Parvati Patil, who has darker skin?
In Harry Potter, the spell "Reducto" essentially breaks it. For example, in Order of the Phoenix, Parvati Patil reduces a table to ashes, while Harry uses it in GOF to break apart the hedges in the maze. It basically damages it, depending on the object you use it on.
