yes you can.ok first you need any ethernet cable you can find. hook it up to the router.make sure you have internet access.go to settings on your dashboard.select network settings.test xbl connection and see if it works.thenjoin xbl.what i went through was a series of updates.ok when you select join xbl after the update you will have 3 steps .after you enter your name you have to enter email address and password.at first i entered my email address and password but the password was invalid. it must be the one you use for the windows live account.to recover password go to login live.com.select sign in click forgot my password and follow the instructions.then say you want them to send you the password by email.if you get the password and put it in to xbl they will say you are not in the locale.go back to windows live and sign in again and say you are from the states.then they will let you through.you must be 18 or older to join.for the record i am 11
