When you make the account, it has to be activated. When activated, you scroll over to the 'My Account' button. Allow it to bring up the pull down menu. You will see a button that says, 'Create a Neopet'. Click on that, then various types of neopet species will come up. PS. If you are lucky, there might be a new, limmited addition neopet. Who Knows? :)
