you need to disconnect the upper radiator hose from the block inlet and pour your coolant/h2o directly into the block....reconnect hose then into radiator
According to the Subaru service procedures, there is no bleeding necessary for the Legacy. Filling procedure is as follows. 1) Fill engine coolant into radiator up to filler neck position. Coolant capacity (fill up to
The Subaru Legacy is unique in its class because it does indeed have a standard all-wheel-drive system (AWD).
Cooling system thermostat is at the bottom of the engine. Look for the lower radiator hose and trace it back to where it attaches to the engine block. Bingo!
my good sir what does v stand for?
You could have a bad thermostat, just because its new doesn't mean its good, TRUST ME ON THAT, or you could possible have an air pocket in the cooling system.
drain the whole cooling system and refill it. You will never know if you don't give details of your car!
Does it have a distributor? I thought these cars ran on the harmonic balancing system
Low coolant cooling fans not working thermostat not opening radiator dirty or plugged water pump not working system "airbound" defective radiator cap hoses collapsing
A 1991 Subaru Impreza might overheat because of a leaking cooling system or because of a damaged thermostat. You might also have a damaged or leaking radiator or a cooling fan that is not working.
Hi, this is a common problem with subaru's - you need to get the cooling system pressure bled - i.e there is air in your cooling system.
Have you pressure tested to rule out a blown head gasket? Does the cooling system build up full pressure and start dribbling into the overflow long before the engine is hot? If so, it could be exhaust gas leaking into the cooling system.
You need to burp the radiator and cooling system.
