A battery snap in electronics is what you connect a battery to. The battery snap then sends the electricity in the battery to the rest of the circuit. It's that simple.

In a 1999 A6 Avant the battery is located under the hood near the windshield & wipers on the left as you face the car under a black cover that is a little larger than the size of a typical battery. On mine there are symbols + & - on the black cover.
You can find a snap-on cover for the Samsung T359 online at ebay.com. You can also find them at the local stores for your carrier.
The battery is located in the trunk under the spare tire cover. If you are physically unable to reach the battery in the car I suggest you look into a cigarette adapter car jumper kit this would be an easier alternative method.
