The "Gun" in LittleBigPlanet is from the "MetalGearSolid" Gamepack. It is available on the PSN (PlayStation network). With the purchase of that gamepack you can now make levels containing the "Paintinator". (The gun you are refering to). If you do NOT have an internet connection for your playstation 3 then you cannot get the gun. I would suggest you getting a connection to your PlayStation 3 if you do not have it yet as there are many addons for games just like the one I just described for you. Hope this helps
