You did not indicate whether you had a separate Mic, or if it was a MIC that is part of Headphones, WebCam, etc.
Plug your MIC into the front of your computer, assuming it is a PC, into the "Pink" plug. Depending on which OS you are running, you may see a window pop up that ask you "What Device Did You Install?" Check MIC. Then right click your "Volume" icon in your system tray, click "Recording Devices" when the properties window open, check all lines to make sure they are checked or not checked according to what you like. Make sure you make this MIC your "Default" device (For MIC). Look or the "levels" tab at the top of the properties window. Click it and adjust your volume and recording levels. You do not want to set your recording level to High. About 60% is cool. Set the volume to where you want it by speaking into your MIC and adjusting the level bar in your window, not on your speaker. That should do it.
Be smarter than the microphone. You click on the microphone button at the top left corner and it should be on. But it depends if you are using a laptop or desktop computer. If you are using a desktop computer there is no microphone. But if using a laptop, click on the microphone button on the top left corner. Then the microphone should turn on.
You have to convert audio into text first of all. There are programs out there that can do this, such as 'Simply Speaking' and 'Dragon Text.' So you have to get the voicemail into a file, put it on something that will play it into the computer (the phone might work!) run it through the software program, which will require microphone and speakers, correct the text and print it out.
Music can't play through a microphone, microphones only record sound.
If it not playin beat speakers broken
Sounds like either Audio-In, or SPDIF Used to like, hook up a stereo to your PC, in case you wanted to play it through speakers or record it or something. Might be wrong, tho. I'd need a picture or more thorough description to be sure.
Your microphone only plays back through one ear because a microphone is a mono-input. The output is in stereo, so it will come out of only one ear.
the computers spekers hop helps
Yes, you can connect your desktop to your home audio speakers. The audio cable would go from your sound card to your home audio receiver which in turn would play out of the speakers. However, it would be much easier to use your desktop computer sound with desktop speakers. Desktop speakers can be plugged directly into you computer through a usb cable or audio cable and are available in a two speaker set or surround sound set ups. anonymous@oola.com
