I am trying to find out where to get a stock and a bolt for a 3 in. model 15a 410 shotgun the brand is a ward western field can you help.
your western field shotgun was made for Montgomery wards by mossberg. There model number was 395K.I would look at numrich gun parts corp, or maybe E-gun parts,Both are on the web.
I have a pre-1977 Western Field 12 Gage Wooden stock and Forearm in very good condition that I will sell for $50. This shotgun is totally compatible with the Moss If interested I can send pictures. I will accept Paypal. My email is gdoss@aol.com
I have this model shotgun, but it has a broken firing pin. The gun is usless to me, but would make a good parts gun. The stock is in excellent condition.
Any mossberg 500 stock will fit
wood, finish, stock dimensions
I would go to Numrich gun parts corp.they may be found on the web.The Mossberg model 395K is the same firearm as yours, having been made for Montgomery Wards(Western field) by Mossberg&sons firearms company.
The Western Field Model 60 is the Stevens/Savage 620A. If your 'smith can't find new or good used wood for it, try Numrich Gunparts. If he was going to start with a blank stock, $400 sounds cheap, but this gun isn't that old, so factory stocks should be available.
I would first look at numrich parts corp, and look at the model number you have.If you do not find anything The shotgun you have was made by stevens and there model number was stevens model 520.I would look for that model number next.Good luck in your search.
The model 5100 Stevens shotgun has a plastic stock
The Mossberg 500 Stock is the stock for the Mossberg 500 shotgun. The stock would allow you to get a better grip on the shotgun and absorb some recoil from firing the shotgun.
