You need a ranger primary or secondary, and the skill "Charm Animal" unlocked. If you put that skill on your skill bar, you will have an Elder Wolf pet. You can't charm a different pet with a PvP character.

∙ 13y agoThe only way to get a pet requires the Shivering Isles expansion pack. You'll find an orc in Crucible who's name slips my mind, do a quest for him and he'll reward you with a skinned hound. Or you can get a horse. Or Shadowmere (which is just another horse).
