How do you get a puppy in rpg2?

It's sort of easy. All you have to do is get a den. Once you've chosen the den you want, your pups will be there. Raising them is much harder than it sounds, you have to defend them from Coyotes, Grizzly Bears, and Hawks. You especially have to feed them (meaning you have to hunt Elk or feed on the already dead ones, but your mate is the one who mostly does the hunting, so they will leave the den every once and a while) and keep them close to the den otherwise they will be killed by predators. Your mate does feed them and tries to keep them close to the den, but he/she won't defend them, you have to give the predator three bites, or it won't go away. I haven't managed to kill a hawk because they swoop down and snatch your pup very quickly, but it gives you a warning before that happens (with all the predators), you only have about a minute to get there and if you don't your pup will die. You can have up to four pups, and I don't think they will grow up into adult wolves, so don't really be thinking that. Once your pups reach 15 lbs, you have to make the very hard journey to your summer home, which is in the forest at the way bottom, next to the wolf territory. This may seem a simple run over there, but the predators are still there, you will probably have one die on your way there. Actually, you don't even have to go to the summer home, just wait for your mate to put the pups in the same spot and it'll say the whole "Congratulations! You made it to your summer home!" and that stuff.

Sorry my answer is extremely long. I've had pups myself and found it very hard to keep my pups alive, I did what I told you about your mate putting them all in the same spot, but I just started a new game and I'm not having pups, I'm mostly hunting with my mate.

you have pups by downloading wolfquest 2 slough creek, (its out) after you get a mate on wolfquest 1 amethyst mountain. first you find a den to have, mark your territory, then you have 4 pups when your percentage of your markings of the territory is about at least 90 percent and then you choose the 4 names of your pups (you decide of their female or male pups but it doesnt ask) then click enter and see what your pups colors are. hope this helps!

There are two stages to the single player game.

The first is Amethyst Mountain. The goal of this stage is to find a mate. In case you haven't already done so, go into your saved file on Amethyst Mountain and press "m" while in the game. This should bring up your map. There will be 5 circles in the area, two orange and three pink. The orange circles are elk hunting territory, but you don't need to go to those unless your wolf needs food. The pink circles represent the territory of a stranger wolf. Press "m" again to exit the map and head in the general direction of a pink circle. If you still have the game help turned on, there should be a small window that pops up when you enter the territory. (if you don't have game help on, go to Esc>Game Settings>Show/Hide Tutorials) Exit the pop-up and press "v" for scent vision. Follow the yellow spots until you find the stranger wolf. If the label above it says "Dispersal [opposite gender of your wolf]", it is a potential mate. Have a friendly conversation with it and you have yourself a mate. If the label says "Slough Male/Female" or "Specimen Male/Female", ignore it and go to a different territory. If you go to all three and still don't see any dispersals, visit them all again until you do.

The second stage is Slough Creek. In this stage, the goal is to raise pups. As soon as you complete the first stage, go back to the loading menu and click "Slough Creek." There should be a file there with the name of your Amethyst Mountain wolf on it. Click the file. When the game starts, you "spawn" on a raised platform in the middle of the next level. Press "m" again and head towards one of the three orange circles. When you get into one, there should be another pop-up that tells you to find a den. Run with your mate to the exact center of the territory and you should see the den. (They vary with each territory) If you get close to the den, a list of pros and cons will come up but there really isn't a very big difference between them all. After you've established a den, you have to mark your territory by going around the area and pressing "p" intermittently. As soon as the territory marker gets up to at least 90%, the game will automatically give you and your mate 4 pups to look after.

If you're wondering about pups in the multiplayer game, well, you're kinda screwed. Can't have pups there.

Make sure you complete the 'Mark Your Territory' mission. Your pups will spawn after that mission.
