How do you get a shovel in harvest moon DS?

If your house is a level 2 and you have the Harvest Sprite Shopping Network channel,(channel 2) then all you have to do is buy the kitchen off of the shopping network, and then wait for the pot to be for sale(on channel 2). Just watch the channel every day.

First, you will need a tree. When you are first given your farm, you already have a peach tree.

If you would like to plant another, you will need some seeds. You can order these over the phone at the supermarket, or at 4 o'clock most days at Vesta's shop which is next to her home. You can plant the seeds any time of the year except Winter.

At your farm, plough a 3x3 square. Stand in the middle, have your seeds as your tool, and click Y. It only covers 4 squares, but it's good to give it a little extra room.

Unlike crops, trees do not need watering, but they do take longer to grow (they sometimes take up to a year, because they cannot grown in the winter).

Once the tree is fully grown, a fruit will grow at a certain month. (e.g. peaches grow in the summer). The rest of the year, it blossoms or just looks like a tree.

When you see the fruit on the tree, walk up to the tree and click A. Press Y to put it in your inventory, or walk over to the shipping box and press A to sell it

(you will only get the money at about 4:30). You can also eat the fruit by pressing X.

Once harvested, another fruit should go a few days later.
