click on the news paper and click "find own place". you can find that choice on the computer too.
Well, as a Sims 2 addict, I happen to know the answer:You simply make the adult Sim click on a newspaper or computer and select "find own place".To get someone to move out with the Sim in question, they must live with the family. Pets can be moved out with a Sim as well. A pop-up screen will ask you who you wish to move out with. If a Sim you want to move out with isn't on that screen, make sure you live with them. After you select a Sim to move out with-or just click the check without selecting anyone-a taxi will pick the Sim(s) up. They will appear in the neighborhood families bin. To first make your Sims live on its own , You have to make sure its an adult. Then click on the Sim and click Move Out. The you Sim will get into a taxi. When the taxi leave, save the game. Then go to the neighborhood. Click the families button , and there you will find your adult sim. Click on it and find an affordable house. Hope you have a wonderful Family. -- Ciara L.
You do this by making the sim you want to get rid of move. But when you move it tick the box which says kick out, that will get rid f the sim from your sim family.
If you want a teenager to live on there own: Be your adult Sim and click on the newspaper, click "find own place" and then the adult goes away and then the teenager lives on its own! If its just an adult, then you can do the same.
I can only give you the PC instructions. you click on the newspaper, choose find own place, it will come up with a menu, you choose which sims you want to move out with, you exit the lot, the sims will appear in the sim menu in the neighbourhood, click on them and put them in the lot you want them to move into. have fun and happy simming!!
If you're new to playing it's better to start with a single Sim, then move on two a couple and eventually a family.
The only ways to move a Sim or Sim household to another town is to:( NOTE: None of these ways will keep a Sim(s) memories/relationships/etc. )add them to your Sim bin, then go to your new town, open Create a Sim, select them from the premade Sim area, exit Create a Sim, and move them into an empty lotadd them to your Household bin, click over to your desired town, select Move in Household, choose your family, and move them into an empty lot
Select the sim you want ot move out, go to the computer and select find own place. make sure if you have a child or a baby or a toolder, to leave them with an adult or elder. You will find your sim in the neighbourhood in the sim bin.

Make your college student graduate or drop out. or if your talking about a teen sim, go to the college you want to move your sim to. then when you get there, click move teens to college, look for your teen that you want, and click them. then click ok and move the sim to the house you want(or dorm.).
Before you move the family out, pick up the urn and move it into one of the Sim's inventory.
First you need to put the family in the family bin after that you can move them in any house in that neighborhood,but you can't move them in other town(neighborhood).
