Highly unlikely. If the DMV is the agency for issuing the "Officiial" state ID card, you will have to produce valid, legal proof of your identity (birth certificate - passport - etc) and they are going to run your name and DOB through the computer system. Guess what they're going to find?
My friend in GA had a bench warrant for FTA and she renewed her learner's permit twice, took the driving test, and ultimately got her driver's license without it coming up.

∙ 15y agoIn order to get a state-issued ID you will have to present valid proof of who you are. The chances are these: when they enter your name and DOB into the computer system to confirm it - if the state that issued the warrant entered you into the national criminal computer database - guess what's going to happen next.

I disagree. The question is does the DMV or the Secretary of State (in some states) have access to LEIN (Law Enforcement Information Network) in Michigan the answer is no. The dbase for Driving Records and Court Information is separate and even Law Enforcement Officers are under rules which regulate how they use LEIN to obtain information about individuals.
However, if the felony is for a driving offense a Michigan Warrant does show up in the sense that local courts and court clerks are required by law to inform The Secretary of State that an individual Failed to Appear or Failed to Comply with a Judgment related to the Michigan Vehicle Code - Specifically Michigan Compiled Laws Section 257.732.
Also most states confirm your identity through a certified birth certificate and your Social Security # neither of which show wants or warrants.
I swear I think cops and prosecutors answer these questions so that people that may have legal problems feel trapped. FTP!!
Still there is always a risk and that is a risk you must be prepared to take if you absconded on a felony warrant in the first place.
