Remove the plastic trigger that goes around the trimmer, by going to the open side and spreading it and sliding it off. Now you will see into each hole the white switch that is stopped by a dark plastic guard. Compress the two plastic guards,I did it with two screwdrivers, and had my wife pull on the clipperhead. That pulls the body of the trimmer out. The battery has clips on each end and has to be pried up, while holding the battery holder in place. The batteries are on ebay at $18.00 with the clips,or you can buy a battery local with prongs on each end and soder them in.

If you have the model with the black plastic ring on/off switch, stretch the ring out and slide it off. Force the internals out by pushing hard from the bottom (where unit contacts charging base terminals). Pry battery directly away from circuit board keeping it parallel so as to avoid bending terminals.

You remove the bottom cover off the weed trimmer, and remove the tangled old wire. Insert the new wire into the side of the trimmer and wrap it around the black spindle.

There are three steps on how to put the blades for a beard trimmer back together. The step-by-step instructions are face the clippers with the blade angled down, push on the trimmer blade from the back of the trimmer, and then slide the new trimmers on the same way that the old ones came off, but only in reverse.
Yes, I have used a generic developer for years and the results have always been GREAT. The product and BEST color I have ever used is "Wella Color Charm". I have tried all the "latest and new brands "over the past 30 years and always went back to Wella because it is tried and TRUE!! Stay with the oldest, it's still around for a reason.
A new battery doesn't mean a good battery. The new battery may be defective. Return it and get a new new one.
Most trimmers have refill spools available at your local big box or hardware store. They come with directions. Basically, you unplug the trimmer, pop out the old spool and replace it with the new.
Hi, I have contacted Proctor and Gamble UK (The parent company for Wella) and they confirm they no longer sell this product in NZ. I quote"In today's competitive marketing environment, no manufacturer can afford to produce products that are not financially viable. This, unfortunately, is the situation we faced with Wella Balsam". They did suggest an alternative similar product though - Clairol Herbal Essences. Hope this helps you move forward :-) Diane M
The pull cord on a Homelite trimmer is repaired by removing the outer cover and pulling out the cord spool. A new line is then attached, wound around the spool, and put back in place.
If the battery is defective get a new battery. If you just left something on and ran it down, charge the battery and keep going.
Only if the old battery is defective
If you install a new battery & new alternator and the battery runs down overnight then you have something pulling power from the battery. Look for any light on the vehicle that is on or a relay that is stuck.
