it's easy!!!! you just simply go to thesims2.com click "the exchange" and then browse through the selections of Sims, furniture, and so much more that i can't think of. then just click "download" a window should appear. Click "run" then after another window pops up that is downloading it, wait. a 4th box should come up click "install" and then "OK"

You can download custom content a lot of places online, such as Mod the Sims. Just create a log-in, go to the "downloads" tab, pick The Sims 2, and start hunting.
www.xmsims.com is a custom content website which creates custom content for The Sims 2 for PC, which can be downlaoded and used in your game for free. Instructions on how to do so will be on their site. P.S Their hair is brilliant (Y)
I highly doubt this is possible. You can make a 'look-a-like' of something but you cant bring something from the sims 2 into the sims 3.
custom content is legal for the sims 3 and any other game,unless it breaks copyright laws
no, as long as you move your folder of custom content out of my documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 then your CC will be fine
