no, as long as you move your folder of custom content out of
my documents/EA Games/The Sims 2
then your CC will be fine

If you make a custom skin for your sim in body shop then you can do that. it is really complicated to figure it out if you don't know what you're doing. Try downloading sims off of these two sites. You have to have a membership for both sites, but they are both free.
