It is not possible from what I know. I looked into this for an easy hack after I restoredy iPod cuz it froze on cydia. Just use limerain.com for 4.1 hack.
Actually, it is possible, by downloading the .ipsw file for 2g-4.1 file for sn0wbreeze. You will need iTunes 10. When you get on the .ipsw file press shift + restore on iTunes with your iPod connected to your computer. This will downgrade your iPod or iPhone to 4.0. Hope this helps!
