How do you get from Grand Central Station to Bar 4 in Brooklyn?

Take the Uptown 4-5-6 (the dark green line) from 42nd Street-Grand Central Station to 59th Street (at Lexington Avenue).

Transfer at 59th Street to the Downtown N or Rtrains (of the N-R-Q-W, the yellow line). Take the Nor R to Prospect Avenue (at 4th Avenue) in Brooklyn. However, note that the N will only stop at Prospect Avenue from 11 PM to 5:30 AM, when the R isn't running. So, don't take the N unless you're traveling between 11 PM and 5:30 AM.

Prospect Avenue is between 17th Street (to the south) and 16th Street (to the north). The streets here are numbered backwards. Walk two blocks north on 4th Avenue to 15th Street, turn right, and walk east on 15th Street to 7th Avenue. Bar 4 is at 444 7th Avenue, at or near the corner of 7th Avenue and 15th Street.

You could also take the Uptown 4-5-6 to 59th Street, and, instead of transferring to the N or R, walk through the tunnel that connects the 59th Street Station to the 63rd Street-Lexington Avenue Station on the F train, and get the Downtown F. However, free transfer is available if you pay by Metrocard only. If you buy a Single Ride ticket, you will have to pay two separate fares.

Take the Downtown F to 7th Avenue (at 9th Street). Walk 6 blocks south on 7th Avenue to 15th Street. Bar 4 is at the corner of 7th Avenue and 15th Street.
