Some of the ways I get the best audio possible:
1. If you use an iPod, crank it to full volume and place it on a table about 6 inches from the DS. Nice volume, low base noise to disrupt words.
2. If you use speakers, place a finger lightly on the part that vibrates. Lowers base :)
3. Spin off. There is almost always another flip using the same song with great audio quality.

The best part is *drum roll* flipnote studio!!! well, it's mine.. most people either like the game slot, or sounds with the dsi sound you can record your voice and make it high, low, fast, or slow! you can even make your voice sound like a robot! or like there's a couple of people saying what you recorded! the dsi camera: take pics of stuff, distort them, graffiti on em' and change their color flipnote studio: make animations post them on flipnote hatena, and get stars! Why do studio audio recordings sound better than live recordings?
The short answer is it's due to the acoustics of the venue interacting with event being recorded. But this answer applies only to you and others that share this perspective. For many others, the acoustics of the venue adds another dimension to the recording, and is therefore very desirable. This is somewhat dependant on the listener, but does require 'better' quality playback equipment as well as good quality files(if via iPod/computer) in order to clearly distinquish the venue acoustics as something separate from the performance. With low quality playback, this is not easily resolved by your ear/brain and therefore is heard as simply 'noise'. This is likely why you feel studio recordings sound better.
