BB are inherently inaccurate. there is no best BB. The reason is the BB barrel is smooth and the BB tumbles as it is fired from the gun. Pellets usually are fired from a rifled barrel (One that has grooves in it) and they spin as they leave the barrel, making them more accurate. The only BB gun the I know of that spins the BB's is the Gamo P23, but you MUST use Gamo lead BB's. Lead is soft and conforms to the groves in the barrel just like a Pellet would. This makes the BB more accurate. Regular BB that are forced fired in a rifled barrel will destroy the rifling in the gun making it less accurate.

Put the Safety on first. Make sure the BB gun is not charged or cocked and unloaded. If the BB is jammed in the barrel you will have to take a .177 cleaning rod and push the BB back into the loading chamber from the front of the barrel.

Pellet Guns and Rifles usually use a rifled barrel, one that has grooves in it. This makes the pallet spin and gives it more accuracy than a BB. There are combination BB and pellet guns made, but they are also smooth bore. I know of one BB/Pellet gun, the Gamo P-23, that is a combo bb/pellet gun. It uses a rifled barrel and special "Led BB's." The common Steel BB will ruin a rifled barrel that's why the Gamo P-23 uses "Led BB's." This barrel makes the BB spin and more accurate. Speed will increase the distance and power of a projectile.
