Dampen a white cloth towel, press an iron set on 'high' and press over the wax and towel for some 10 seconds. The heat will draw the wax into the cloth. Repeat until gone. If the wax in reasonably thick, put ice in plastic bag, place on wax to freeze it , scrape off what you can and then apply the heat treatment

∙ 7y agoCarefully and with much patience! Start by using a knife to cut away any large chunks that you can remove, being careful not to cut the carpet in any way. Remove as much as possible, particularly if it is colored wax. Get some paper towels, a lot of paper towels, and place three or four thick over the waxy area. Place your iron over the paper towel and let the heat melt the wax. Be careful not to let the carpet get hot enough to melt. As the wax melts the paper towel should absorb the wax. Continually move the paper towel until it is saturated and then get a clean one. Continue until there is no trace of the wax left. Brush the area out to match the rest of the carpet and vacuum.
