Age and the resulting tooth growth is one of the biggest factors for moving a dog from soft, canned foods to regular dry foods. Make sure to purchase one that is sized for the dog breed (if it is marked). Some foods are specifically for large breeds, medium breeds, etc. The best way, usually, to transition a dog to dry food is to mix a small amount of the dry food with the wet food and slowly increase the dry food and decrease the wet food in the mixture until the dog is only eating the dry food. This not only lets the dog adjust to eating the hard food, it also lets the dog's digestive system adjust to the change in food. I'd recommend starting with the smallest bag of your chosen food that you can buy because some dogs will be picky and refuse to eat some foods and you don't want to be stuck with a large amount of food your Boston won't eat. Lastly, make sure to follow the recommended feeding amounts on the brand of chosen food. Usually these will work great, but keep an eye on your dog's weight because he/she may need a little more or a little less food to maintain their healthy weight from my experience.
A dog's food preferences depends on the dog, not the breed. My yorkie loved wet (canned) food, but yours might not.
The Bedington Terrier eats dog food. You can use dry, or a combination or wet and dry food for the dog. Choose a good quality brand of food for your dog.
I guess just like other dogs, an Australian Terrier will eat any food because of its hearty appetite. Here are some guidelines in feeding this breed, http://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/australian-terrier/feeding
Cats are known to have a strong preference for the taste and texture of gravy, which is why your cat may only lick it off wet food. The gravy provides a more appealing flavor and moisture that cats find irresistible.
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is simply a breed of domestic Dog, meaning they should be fed normal Dog food. I have always fed mine Wagg Complete (for Adult Dogs), but any dry biscuit or wet canned food should be fine.
turtles eat wet Food
Wet food comes in a can or pouch and it contains water. Dry dog food is basically no water and basically dehydrated to remove moisture
You can tell if wet cat food is bad by checking for any unusual odor, changes in color or texture, and by observing your cat's reaction to it. If the food smells off, looks different, or if your cat refuses to eat it, it may be spoiled and should be discarded.
