How do you get on deserving design?

By honestly applying. I am a registered nurse. I work in an alzheimer's unit at a not- for- profit healthcare facility. Better known as a nursing home. Needless to say there is not a lot of money for decorating or even repairs. The money has to be spent on the main necessities, such as the heaters, air conditioners, Plumbing & the like. My request is that our unit could have a makeover. The residents that live there are precious elderly people that still enjoy things in life. Our group is the early stage alzheimer's. The place is very dull & old. Our nursing assistants are always doing crafts for them to hang in the unit to try to brighten up the place. But the place needs a overhaul. The nurse's station was once a closet( very, very small). Most of the tables wobble very badly. There is no place to store their craft supplies, magazines, etc, ect. They have a tv room with old couches & chairs that have been donated, who knows when. And they are cloth, which is not a good thing, since some are incontinent & have accidents while sitting there many times. If you saw the place, you would see for yourself how badly it needs a makeover to be more cheerful for the residents. Even in their state of mind, they still all want to go home. Maybe if the place was more warm & cozy it would be so much more tolerable for them. They also enjoy music so much. We have a small radio/CD player that only gets a couple stations. Please consider my request. If you met these people & spent any time with them, i know your heart would go out to them & you would love them like i do. Vern i think you are an awesome person as well as designer. I really believe this could be one of your most satisfying makeovers yet!!! I pray that you will consider us. Thank you.
