How do you get over someone cheating on you?

This will take all of your patience and time. There are books on this. Cheating is a Biblical reason for a divorce and there is a good reason: party #3 will always be a part of the relationship from now on. No human being can completely fulfill another human being entirely. (i know, tell Walt Disney, will you?) Without God no man (or woman) can be happy. Pray that God opens the door of your heart. Don't think it won't hurt either. Like i said. patience and time. Oh yeah - one more thing - someone else praying with you. That's me. (smile)

This depends on the relationship. If you are in a long term, commited relationship (like marriage) you and your partner should seek counseling. A lot of people who have been betrayed by their partner say that after they forgive them their relationship becomes even better than it was before the betrayal. If you are betrayed by a friend or boyfriend/girlfriend you need to make a decision about whether or not you will be able to forgive them and trust them again. If the relationship ends, give yourself a SHORT period of time to grieve and then move on. Keeping busy with hobbies, friends, community volunteer work and social activities will help to keep you from brooding over the person who betrayed you. As for myself, after a relationship is over, I get rid of all momentos, phone numbers, texts, etc of that person. The saying 'out of sight, out of mind' is really true!

If it is a friend you should have a chat with them and ask them why they have betrayed you but if you do not want to talk with that person just ignore them and they'll get the picture that you feel sad and betrayed. They'll soon come back to you.
