If you're talking about the original Paper Mario, and you have an N64, you can buy a used copy on places like eBay or Amazon. If you have a Wii, and have internet connection on it, you can buy a Nintendo Points Card and buy Paper Mario on the Wii Shop Channel for 1,000 Nintendo Points.
If you're talking about Paper Mario: TTYD (The Thousand-Year Door), you can buy it somewhere like Gamestop for $15. You must have a Gamecube or a Wii with a memory card and a controller.
If you're talking about SPM (Super Paper Mario), you can buy a copy at a lot of places like Gamestop, Walmart, or Toys R Us. You must have a Wii and a Wii Remote.
Ok, if you have beaten world 2,(otherwise it won't work)go back to 2-3. Go to the second story to the left. The guard that used to be there isn't there, and you don't carry rubees anymore. Hit the ? box in that room, and a mushroom comes out. But, keep jumping, and you'll get infinite mushrooms for free!
One day, while Mario was enjoying being the rising star of Glitzville's Glitz Pit, he goes outside to get some fresh air. Suddenly, he notices that the hot dog stand vendor is chasing around a peculiar, spotted egg. Mario tries to help the vendor catch it, but the egg escapes to the roof while a winding and very annoyed vendor is standing below unable to reach it. Mario, instead of jumping around the vendor stand like an idiot, decides to take a more... indirect route. He careens to almost the bottom right of the flying city and ascends various obstacles until he reaches a platform with a strange paper airplane design precariously perched on top of the pinnacle of the right side of the city. Pressing the "B" button on his controller, he turns into an airplane and after a few tries (depth perception is very difficult in a world that appears 2-Dimensional) he gets to the vendor's roof and gets the egg. The vendor tries to reclaim his property, but Mario refuses to allow the murder of such an energetic young life. The vendor, with a "people don't like to eat things that move", accepts Mario's premise and returns to his mediocre salary. Later, Mario and party are defeated by the indestructable (and somehow low class) armed harriers. The melancholy group returns to their below average dorm to find that the egg that they risked their lives to save... IS GONE! While pondering this new mystery, they are confronted by a strange, spiky-headed dinosaur. He solves the case by giving the team great news. The egg has hatched! Where is the baby you ask? Standing right in front of Mario and the gang demonstrating his magnificent vocal skills despite the fact that he's about 1 minute old. That, my dear internet buddy, is how Mario of the paper variety acquires Yoshi in his quest to find Peach in "Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door".
