Very few parts are specific to the '86. The 86 falls squarely in the middle of 'Third Generation F-Body' that includes 1982-1992 Camaros and Firebirds. Some parts, like seats, rear hatches and t-tops, freely interchange without regard to year or model, others (like dashboard parts) can be very specific and need to be matched by vin code. On the bright side most parts will interchange. A Firebird door will look odd because of the extra side moldings, but it will bolt up and work. Of course, your mileage may vary. Locally (Portland, Oregon) I just wander the u-pull wrecking yards to find parts.
Most engine parts and allmost all body parts are interchangeable with some modification. Interior is all the same.
Not even close.
Yes
go find a 86 or newer sbc car it will have one on it
Chevy didn't offer a 350 in an 86 Camaro, but if they did, it would theoretically work in an 87 Caprice.
no
Answerwith a little modification it will but no it won't bolt up to the 96 engine and besides the 96 had a stronger transmission then the 86.
Yes
Not without modification
Yes, With no problems.
Not electronic. But mechanical yes. NOTE: a 1996 camaro has the LT1. A 1998 Camaro has the LS1. A lot of things are different.
Sure it will, just get your motor mounts made and swap the motors
