Never mind. I figured it out. Just switch characters to Peach. Francis's security system allows "hot babes" into the room. And, apparently, Peach is a "hot babe" (I guess I just never thought of her in that way). You just have to answer a few true/false geek questions (answer "true" to all of them), and you can get in. Once you get into the room, Peach has to converse with Francis (who is such a geek, he has to use a computer to tell him what to say to girls). I don't think it matters if you pretend to like the geek or not, eventually, it comes down to a battle with Francis. Francis has some kind of invisibility device, but he has to uncloak to use his weapon (the flash from his camera). But there's also little robo servants rigged to explode that keep dropping from the roof. I decided to switch to Bowser and use my flame breath on the geek (and on the robots as well). You have to be on the lookout for Francis to show up (there's a glimmer in the air just before he shows), and you sometimes have to get out of his way before he pops in. You have to time your attack just right, because if you're too early, it won't effect him, and if you're too late, he'll flash his camera and you take a couple of hit points. After you defeat him, Tippi is freed and she will give you a pure heart. (Wow, I just realized how much I sound like Francis.)
