Promotion on WikiAnswers from registered user to Supervisor occurs in one of two ways:
1. By chance. Perhaps one of our existing supervisors may run into an answer you provided within a question and found it to be very good. This will make the supervisor view your bio page and review other contributions you have made. They will look for things like quality of answers, correctness of answers, if you've been helping other users through the message boards, organizational skills such as recategorizing questions, splitting off bad redirects, or editing the format of questions into better ones as well as editing spelling or grammar issues within existing answers, and how long you have been a registered member of WikiAnswers. We are always on the watch for new Supervisors as WikiAnswers grows. Provided that your contributions collectively have been good and helpful to the site, the Supervisor will recommend you for Supervisor status to an Administrator.
2. By attention. You can always email WikiAnswers or leave a message on a Supervisor's message board questioning about obtaining Supervisor status at any time. Once your message has been received, the receiver will review your contributions, make suggestions if needed, and then recommend you to an Administrator as a new supervisor.

Promoted questions are questions chosen by the WikiAnswers team to be promoted. This list is different than the Featured Questions list.
If you accidentally promoted yourself on WikiAnswers can you undo it?
You can look in My Contributions to the left in the blue toolbar. It will show you every contribution you have made to WikiAnswers since you registered. From there, you can visit each question that you answered by promoting yourself or your business or service and remove that information. If you promoted by using links on questions, you can also remove those.

Though the criteria are subject to change, you are promoted to a bronze contributor after 500 contributions, a silver contributor after 5,000, a gold contributor after 25,000, and a platinum contributor after 100,000 contributions.
