Depending on your state, You visit your local DMV or Secretary of State office and have the moped title in hand. Just tell them you need to register your new moped and it will cost you between $11.00 and 40.00 depending on where you live. You will receive a registration decal right then and there (sticker is good for at least two years up to yrs depending also on where you live and what you wish to pay i believe)and you will either receive a temporary registation right then and they will mail you the permanent copy or they will just type you out the permanent copy at that time. so states mail them to you but give you the decal for the rear fender. so its technically reistered when you leave.
good luck!
***IF you do not have a moped title make sure you have a bill of sale stating the vin number on the frame or motor***
then just take that up the offices and they will go from there and give you a decal as long as the vin doesnt come up stolen.
